There are so many different tools, and software that can help you manage your business and stay organized. These tools and/or software can ranger from prices as low as FREE to more expensive prices. Now the more expensive tools and/or software may be worth the money and I am a firm believer in your get what your pay for, but as a small business owner just getting starter you need something reliable, user friendly and cost effective. What can be more cost effect than free as well as reliable and user friendly. I’m talking about Gmail.
I simply love Gmail. I use it for just about all my business needs. Not only do you get a free email account with gmail, but once you have that you have access to a great deal of tools you can use for the very low cost effective price of FREE. Below are some of the features I regularly use.
Email Management: Some of the features of Gmail that I love is email management. You can create filters for your emails so you will not clog up your inbox. By using this feature you can have access to important emails readily or send non important emails somewhere else so you can check them later.
Calendar: Gmail also has a calendar that you can color coordinate your personal business appointment/events. You can also give your virtual assistant access to your calender so that he/she can update your schedule for you.
Google docs: Google docs is a great tool that can be used to store ideas, brainstorms, or collaborate with employees on articles, blog post, ebooks, etc. Simply give your Virtual Assistant permission to view only or edit so you both can work on one document. You will no longer have to have hundreds of rewrites. Google docs also allows you to great spreadsheets and surveys that you can embed on your website.
