Redirect links are a great way to organize links and create neat links when doing affiliate marketing. When you receive your affiliate links from the affiliate program you are apart of it usually will consist of the products domain name, product and then your id number. The id number is a tracking number that is use to track clicks and to connect you with purchases that have been received using the link you provided. Sometimes (if not most of the time) this link can be very lengthy and people may refuse to click on them because they may suspect it to be a virus.
You can “tidy” up your links by creating redirects. Redirects are smaller, neater, and more inviting. So instead of seeing a link like this; http://www.productsite.com/product/affiliate-id-123 (just made that up), you will see http://www.yoursite.com/productname. Below is a step by step video tutorial showing how to set-up your redirect links if your webhosting service uses Cpanel.
